So, if you missed the Great American Outdoor Show in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania last weekend, you really missed a great show. Hundreds of guides and outfitters were in attendance demonstrating their new gear, boats and other equipment. The show was sponsored by Cabela’s and of course the National Rifle Association. Your Southern Maryland Fly Fishing guides and instructors were happily cruising the show and met a couple of our favorite outdoorsmen, as Phil and Jase Robertson of Duck Commander were in attendance. After the show it was snowing so heavily we opted to spend the night in New Cumberland and hit the Harrisburg Bass Pro Shop in the morning for a spending spree. As Shane was trying out his new TFO 3 WT, we bumped into Bobby Clouser (son of fly-fishing icon Bob Clouser) in the fly shop and chatted about fishing and exchanged stories about Bob and Lefty for an hour or so.
